Passenger files suit against Maitland driver after collision in Orlando

Car accident 45

ORLANDO – A Georgia resident has filed suit against a Maitland resident he alleges was negligent and careless in an operation of a motor vehicle.

Aaron D'Angelo Arroyo filed a complaint on April 14 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida - Orange County against Rafael VillaDiego alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 21, 2014, he was a passenger in a vehicle stopped at the intersection of Dixie Belle Drive and East Grant Street in Orlando when the vehicle was struck by a car that had been struck by the defendant. He alleges he sustained serious and permanent injuries, permanent loss of an important bodily function, aggravation of an existing disease, and incurred medical expenses.

The plaintiff holds VillaDiego responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately maintain and operate a motor vehicle so as not to cause harm and failed to be on a proper lookout for other vehicles.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against defendant for personal injury, costs, interest and for other such relief as may be just. He is represented by Steven J. Tomesko of Dan Newlin & Partners in Orlando.
