MIAMI – A Key West man alleges a Lysol brand cleaning product caused blindness.
Frank Everhart filed a complaint on April 6 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Reckitt Benckiser Inc. and Reckitt Benckiser LLC alleging negligence.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in Oct. 10, 2016, he became blind due his corneas being burned after getting Lysol Clean & Fresh multi-surface cleaner in his eyes. The plaintiff holds Reckitt Benckiser Inc. and Reckitt Benckiser LLC responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to warn the plaintiff of the serious physical injury the product could cause.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory damages of more than $75,000, interest, and other damages appropriate. He is represented by Sean M. Cleary of Law Offices of Sean M. Cleary PA in Miami.
