FORT LAUDERDALE – A Philippines corporation alleges its content is illegally distributed online.

ABS-CBN Corp.; ABS-CBN Film Productions Inc., doing business as Star Cinema; and ABS-CBN International filed a complaint on April 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against cinesilip.net, pinoychanneltv.me, drembed.com, et al. alleging trademark and copyright infringement.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that their movie and television shoes were unlawfully streamed online by the defendants. The plaintiffs hold cinesilip.net, pinoychanneltv.me, drembed.com, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly could cause confusion among consumers by offering counterfeit products.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants and award of equitable and monetary relief, statutory damages, interest and further relief as the court may deem proper. They are represented by Stephen M. Gaffigan, Virgilio Gigante and Christine Ann Daley of Stephen M. Gaffigan PA in Fort Lauderdale.
