Woman alleges spinal injury after collision with USPS employee

Car accident 41

ORLANDO – A driver alleges she was injured in a Brevard County collision with a federal employee.

Jennifer Herman filed a complaint on March 31 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against United States of America alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 15, 2015, she has sustained a spinal injury, pain and suffering, disability, loss of earnings and diminution of ability to enjoy life when a U.S. Postal Service employee failed to yield to a stop sign, attempted to turn right into the path of plaintiff and violently struck the right side of plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff holds United States of America responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to make a complete stop at the stop sign, and failed to yield the right of way to plaintiff's vehicle.

The plaintiff seeks judgment and damages against defendant, plus interest, costs, and other damages as the court may deem just. She is represented by William G. Osborne of William G. Osborne PA in Orlando.
