TAMPA — A woman is suing Cardinal Group Management & Advisory LLC d/b/a Cardinal Group Management Midwest LLC and Realco Capital Partners II LLC, citing alleged gender discrimination.

Kristin Coto filed a complaint on March 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against the defendants alleging that the real estate groups breached their duties of good faith and fair dealing.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, on March 30, 2016, she suffered irreparable injury, emotional pain, mental anguish and compensable damages, as a result of being terminated from employment by the defendants on the reasoning that she failed to reach her leasing goals. In fact, other employees that similarly failed to reach their leasing goals were not written up nor terminated. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to provide plaintiff with ample time to correct or solve the alleged performance deficiencies.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment against defendants, declaratory relief, damages, costs, attorney's fees, interest and further relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Michael A. Serrano of The Law Firm of Michael A. Serrano PA in Lutz.
