MIAMI – A Celebrity Cruises passenger claims she was caused to fall because of a liquid left on a deck.
Kathleen Marsh filed a complaint on March 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against Celebrity Cruises Inc. alleging that the cruise company failed to provide and maintain a safe and seaworthy vessel.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on April 16, 2016, she was caused to slip and fall from a transient liquid substance on Deck 12. As a result, she alleges she sustained injuries in and about her body and extremities, suffered great physical pain, and mental anguish. The plaintiff holds Celebrity Cruises Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to warn passengers of the existence of the dangerous, failed to properly maintain the vessel, and failed to correct a known dangerous condition.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgment for damages against defendant. She is represented by Mark R. Hanson of Tomberg, Hanson & Halper LLC in Delray Beach.
