MIAMI – A Broward County woman alleges she was not able to access a Jensen Beach property because of her wheelchair.

Patricia Kennedy filed a complaint on March 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Square One Partners LLC alleging violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 16, 2016, she visited the defendant's property and encountered barriers that deprived her of the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, privileges and accommodations available to the general public. As a result, plaintiff claims she suffered frustration and humiliation. The plaintiff holds Square One Partners LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adhere to a policy, practice and procedure pursuant to ADA.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for attorneys' fees, costs and all other remedies available as the court deems just and proper. She is represented by Jeannette E. Albo in Miami and Thomas B. Bacon in Mount Dora.
