Law money 01

TAMPA – A former employee of a company that handles window and door installation alleges he was not paid overtime wages for all overtime hours worked.

Richard Kinney filed a complaint on March 8 in the Tampa Division of the Middle District of Florida against Home Performance Alliance Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for the defendant from Nov. 1, 2015, to Aug. 3, 2016. The plaintiff holds Home Performance Alliance Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay all overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by James M. Loren of Goldberg & Loren PA in Plantation.
