Minority Mobile System Inc. alleged to owe former driver unpaid overtime wages

Law money 06

MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County man alleges a Terrace employer did not pay him at the appropriate rate for overtime work.

Raul Almendro Rodriguez filed a complaint on Feb. 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Minority Mobile System Inc. and Aleida Cobo alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was formerly employed as a driver for the defendant from February 2014 to March 2016. The plaintiff holds Minority Mobile System Inc. and Cobo responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks double damages, all overtime wages still owing, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Allyson Morgado of Corona Law Firm PA in Miami.
