MIAMI – Two nightclub workers allege they were not paid all of their wages for their final paychecks.
Erica Murin and Pierre Page filed a complaint on behalf of all those similarly situated on Feb. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Star Island Entertainment LLC, doing business as Icon Miami; Emilio Guerra; Luis Puig; Justin Levine; and Roman K. Jones citing the Fair Labor Standards Act and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that their final paychecks did not include all of the hours they worked during their last few weeks of employment. The plaintiffs holds Star Island Entertainment LLC, doing business as Icon Miami; Guerra; Puig; Levine; and K. Jones responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the proper minimum wage rate to the plaintiffs.
The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek unpaid compensation, interest and all legal fees. They are represented by Ed Rosenberg of Sorondo Rosenberg Legal, PA in Coral Gables.
