FORT LAUDERDALE – A Hollywood Beach retail store is facing a class-action suit over allegations it did not pay employees at a rate of time-and-one-half for overtime work.

Isaac G. Heres filed a complaint on behalf of and other similarly situated individuals on Feb. 21 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Lauderdale Division against Hollywood Style Inc., Albert Setton and Samuel Anidjar citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for the defendants from December 2012 to Feb. 6. The plaintiff holds Hollywood Style Inc., Setton and Anidjar responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide proper overtime wages and failed to provide accurate itemized wage statements to the plaintiff.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek judgment against defendants, actual damages, interest, double damages/liquidated damages, attorneys' fees, costs of suit, and further relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Zandro E. Palma of Zandro E. Palma PA in Miami.
