According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that it suffered damages to its business from having its '734 patent, titled Medium Access Control Protocol for Wireless Network, infringed. The plaintiff holds JEA, a municipal utility of the city of Jacksonville, responsible because the defendant allegedly installed smart meters and access points that infringes plaintiff's patents.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks award damages, supplemental damages, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Michael C. Cesarano of Michael C. Cesarano PA in Coral Gables.
