Government alleges individual owes more than $4,000, plus interest on student loan

FORT LAUDERDALE – A Miami-Dade County resident is alleged to have defaulted on a student loan.

United States of America filed a complaint on Feb. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Jaime Gomez, also known as Jaime Gomez Moya and Jaime Santiago, alleging failure to pay.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that Gomez failed to pay the principal amount of the debt including interest.

The plaintiff seeks principal amount of $4,820.64 plus interest of $10,228.61, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Jennifer Margolis Marquez of Newman & Marquez P.A. in Coral Gables.
