IL Gabbiano Miami accused of wage-law violations

Law money 03

MIAMI — A former employee is suing IL Gabbiano Miami LLC and Gino Masci, employers, alleging violation of minimum-wage and overtime laws.

Angel Ulloa filed a complaint on Feb. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff for his work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week as a runner without being paid overtime, and that a tip credit was wrongly applied, resulting in him being paid too little per hour. The plaintiff holds IL Gabbiano Miami, LLC, and Gino Masci responsible for allegedly violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks an injunction against the defendant, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Robert W. Brock II of Law Office of Lowell J. Kuvin in Miami.
