Phone 05

ORLANDO — A man is suing Bright House Networks LLC d/b/a Charter Spectrum, a Connecticut corporation, citing alleged violation of telephone harassment statutes.

Jason Phillips filed a complaint on Feb. 10 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida Orlando Division against Bright House Networks LLC d/b/a Charter Spectrum, alleging that the Connecticut corporation called the plaintiff's cellular telephone several times.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2015, he suffered damages from receiving several telemarketing calls on his cellular telephone. The plaintiff holds Bright House Networks LLC d/b/a Charter Spectrum responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff on his cellular telephone despite his request that he only be called on his cellular telephone by a service technician.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages of $9,000, statutory damages of $27,000, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by J. Brian Phillips of J. Brian Phillips, P.A. Attorney at Law in Orlando.
