Former Rodes Farms chef claims she was wrongfully fired

Wrongful term 10

FORT MYERS — A Lee County resident is suing her former employer, a restaurant, citing alleged retaliation, unpaid wages, violation of workers compensation acts and wrongful termination.

Ann Nina Prizzi filed a complaint on Feb. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against Rodes Farms Inc. alleging that the employer terminated the plaintiff's employment following a request for overtime pay.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she suffered damages from being terminated from her work as executive chef. The plaintiff holds Rodes Farms responsible because the defendant allegedly terminated plaintiff's employment as retaliation for complaining about not paying fair wages to their employees.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all back wages, reinstatement and promotion, injunctive relief, front wages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by R. Martin Saenz of Saenz & Anderson, PLLC in Aventura.
