Royal Caribbean passenger claims FlowRider surfing simulator caused injuries

MIAMI – A man alleges he was injured on a surfing simulator on a cruise ship.

Raymond Bower filed a complaint on Feb. 9 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 24, 2016, he suffered physical injuries while using the FlowRider surfing simulator aboard the vessel. The plaintiff holds Royal Caribbean Cruises LTD responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide adequate supervision and assistance to the plaintiff while using the FlowRider attraction.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Carol L. Finklehoffe and Jason R. Margulies of Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman P.A. in Miami.
