Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. seeks declaration that policies are void

TAMPA – An insurance company claims that a Hillsborough County resident made false claims on an application questionnaire.

The Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. filed a complaint on Feb. 1 in the Tampa Division of the Middle District of Florida against Elyse Dussia seeking declaratory judgment.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in 2015, the defendant applied for disability and life insurance through the plaintiff. The plaintiff holds Dussia responsible because the defendant allegedly made false and fraudulent representations on her application questionnaire for the policies.

The plaintiff seeks declare that that policies be declared null and void, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. It is represented by Wendy L. Furman of Edison, McDowell & Hetherington LLP in Boca Raton.
