Man claims he is owed thousands from Trend Aviation that he paid for training

Law money 02

ORLANDO – An Orange County man employed as a pilot alleges he was not paid for training as promised by his employers.

Kevin McDaniel filed a complaint on Feb. 3 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division against Trend Aviation LLC and Jonathan P. Houdyschell citing the Fair Labor Standards Act and alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he was required to attend training and that the defendants told him if he paid for it out of pocket, they would reimburse him. The plaintiff holds Trend Aviation LLC and Houdyschell responsible because the defendants allegedly only paid $7,000 of the $13,000 needed for the training, and allegedly did not pay for 24 days that he worked.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks payment for services, reimbursement, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Don McManus of Law Offices of Don McManus PL in Orlando.
