TAMPA — A former employee has filed a class-action lawsuit against Mise En Place Inc., an employer, alleging violation of wage laws.

Torrey Rogers filed a complaint on behalf of others similarly situated on Jan. 26 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against Mise En Place Inc., alleging that the employer failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff for his work.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Mise En Place Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay a proper overtime premium as required by law.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks lost wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Kyle J. Lee of Lee Law, PLLC in Brandon.
