Law money 01

FORT LAUDERDALE – A Hollywood man formerly employed as a cook claims he was not properly compensated for overtime work.

Scott O'Boyle filed a complaint on Jan. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Flickerlite Bar & Pizza Restaurant Inc., Richard Capone, Karin Capone and Joan F. Capone citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime compensation during his employment with the defendants from May to December 2016. The plaintiff holds Flickerlite Bar & Pizza Restaurant Inc., Richard Capone, Karin Capone and Joan F. Capone responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums of time-and-one-half for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees, interest and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Peter Bober and Samara Robbins Bober of Bober & Bober PA in Hollywood.
