FORT LAUDERDALE – A Broward County consumer alleges Navient Solutions harassed him with the frequency of its calls.

Elvis Sequeira filed a complaint on Jan. 25 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Fort Lauderdale Division against Navient Solutions Inc. citing the Florida Consumer Collection Practices Act, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Telephone Consumer Protection Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that beginning in August 2016, he suffered damages from receiving several collection calls on his cellular telephone. The plaintiff holds Navient Solutions Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly kept on calling the plaintiff four times a day despite his request to stop calling him.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and statutory damages and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Christopher W. Boss of Boss Law in St. Petersburg.
