Man seeks payment of disability benefits from Life Insurance Co. of North America he alleges he is owed

Insurance 08

MIAMI – A man alleges he is entitled to disability benefits and that his claim was wrongfully denied.

Brett Lablue filed a complaint on Jan. 24 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Life Insurance Co. of North America citing the Employee Retirement Income Security Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2013, he became disabled and applied for disability benefits but was denied. The plaintiff holds Life Insurance Co. of North America responsible because the defendant denied disability benefits when the plaintiff alleges he is entitled to those benefits according to the terms of the plan.

The plaintiff seeks payment of disability benefits due to the plaintiff, reinstatement, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Victor Pena and Gregory Michael Dell of Attorneys Dell and Schaefer, Chartered in Hollywood.
