TAMPA – A store clerk alleges her Hillsborough County employer owes her unpaid wages.

Freda Gillespie filed a complaint on Jan. 19 in the Tampa Division of the Middle District of Florida against Agemy Family Corp. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Agemy Family Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half of her regular wage rate.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks reimbursement of lost wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Kyle J. Lee of Lee Law, PLLC in Brandon and by W. John Gadd of Clearwater.
