L.O. Florist Supplies employee files suit for allegedly unpaid overtime

Law money 01

MIAMI – A warehouse worker alleges he is owed unpaid overtime wages.

Alonzo Josuee Arellano filed a complaint on behalf of all others similarly situated on Jan. 16 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against L.O. Florist Supplies LLC, Marianella Josefina Salas and Oswaldo Pernia citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked 59 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds L.O. Florist Supplies LLC, Salas and Pernia responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks double damages, all overtime wages still owing, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by J.H. Zidell of J.H. Zidell, P.A. in Miami Beach.
