Family alleges Carnival's negligence caused child's dental injuries

Cruise 01

MIAMI – A family that traveled on the Carnival Breeze cruise ship alleges a minor child was injured while playing at a water park.

RB, a minor, by and through his parents and natural guardians, AB and EB, filed a complaint on Jan. 4 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Carnival Corp., doing business as Carnival Cruise Line, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on June 20, 2016, RB suffered physical injuries after he was injured by another person while playing in an unattended water park on the ship. The suit states he suffered damaged to three teeth and needed surgery. The plaintiffs holds Carnival Corp., doing business as Carnival Cruise Line responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly secure the padlock in order to keep passengers out of the water park and failed to take proper precautions for the safety of passengers.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek damages, medical expenses, all legal fees and interest, plus any other relief as the court deems just. They are represented by Spencer Aronfeld, Lovecia A. Holmes, Matthias M. Hayashi of Aronfeld Trial Lawyers in Coral Gables.
