TAMPA — Four former employees have filed a class-action lawsuit against Elder Services of Central Florida Inc., d/b/a Comfort Keepers, and company owner Tracy D. Kelley, alleging violation of wage laws.

Nicole Fongemie, Regina Bankhead, Tammy Cunningham and Audra Davis filed a complaint on Dec. 29 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiffs.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible for allegedly violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Donna V. Smith of Wenzel Fenton Cabassa, P.A. in Tampa.
