JACKSONVILLE — A Jacksonville man is suing his employer, alleging unpaid overtime wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

Rowland Jeffery Adams filed a class action complaint, individually and for similarly situated individuals, Dec. 22 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against Gilead Group LLC, Realtime Results LLC, Diane Kopitsky, and John McFerron, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act in failing to pay fair wages.

According to the complaint, Adams worked more than 40 hours per week between May 2014 and November 2015 as a field collection agent of the defendants without being paid any overtime compensation.

The plaintiff alleges the defendants failed to pay any overtime premium for Adams working more than 40 hours per week at a rate of time and half as required by FLSA.

Adams seeks trial by jury, overtime compensation, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and all other relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorney Michael N. Hanna of Morgan & Morgan PA in Plantation, Florida.
