MIAMI — A former employee has filed a class-action lawsuit against A.A. & A Fast Construction LLC d/b/a AA&A Painting Services and Virginia Ortiz, claiming the employers violated wage law.
Salvador Reyes filed a complaint on Dec. 16, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants alleging that they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid proper overtime compensation, and that his paychecks bounced for work he performed in August and September 2015. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly violating the Fair Labor Standards Act and for recovery of unpaid wages.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all unpaid wages, damages, all legal fees and interest. He is represented by Keith M. Stern and Hazel Solis Rojas of Law Offices of Keith M. Stern, P.A. in Miami.
