MIAMI — A former employee has filed a class-action lawsuit against Advance Cleaning Group Inc. and owner Eddy Montiel, alleging violation of wage law.
Luis M. Yabron filed a complaint on Dec. 15 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against the defendants, alleging that they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff for overtime work.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid proper overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly violating the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Zandro E. Palma of Zandro E. Palma, P.A. in Miami.
