TAMPA — A man is suing Synchrony Bank f/k/a GE Capital Retail Bank, a financial institution, citing alleged violation of telephone harassment statutes.
Joseph Cinquini filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against Synchrony Bank f/k/a GE Capital Retail Bank, alleging that the financial institution called the plaintiff several times after being notified to cease.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2013, he suffered damages from receiving several unwanted phone calls. The plaintiff holds Synchrony Bank f/k/a GE Capital Retail Bank responsible because the defendant allegedly used an automatic telephone dialing system to call the plaintiff and called after being told to stop.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks permanent injunction against the defendant and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by James S. Giardina of The Consumer Rights Law Group, PLLC in Tampa.
