MIAMI — A man has filed a class-action lawsuit against law firm Solomon, Vigh, P.A. and lawyer Marvin Solomon, debt collectors, citing alleged misrepresentation in debt collection.
Salvatore Sofia filed a complaint on Dec. 14 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they sent a collection letter to the plaintiff containing a false representation of the total amount of his debt.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2016, he suffered damages as the result of being sent a collection letter that contained a false representation of the total amount of his debt. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for allegedly failing to provide the total amount of debt in a collection letter.
The plaintiff seeks statutory damages, all legal fees plus interest and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Leo W. Desmond of Desmond Law Firm, P.C. in Vero Beach.
