Insurance 03

ORLANDO — A woman is suing The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company, alleging breach of contract.

Michele Marcus filed a complaint on Dec. 12, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida Orlando Division against The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company alleging that the insurance firm denied plaintiff's claim for disability benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that, in 2014, she became disabled and was initially being paid disability benefits until it was suddenly terminated. The plaintiff holds The Lincoln National Life Insurance Company responsible because the defendant allegedly denied plaintiff's claim for long term disability benefits despite being disabled according to the terms of the policy.

The plaintiff seeks payment of short term and long term disability benefits plus interest, and all legal fees. She is represented by Thomas M. Farrell, IV of Farrell Disability Law in Jacksonville.
