Healthcare Revenue Recovery Group allegedly violated collection practices with communications

Late 07

MIAMI – An individual claims a debt collector has engaged in illegal practices with its attempt to collect an alleged debt.

Jesus Hernandez filed a complaint on Dec. 12 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Miami Division against Healthcare Revenue Recovery Group LLC alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in May 2016, he suffered damages from receiving a letter from the defendant to collect on an alleged debt he does not owe. He alleges he also communicated with the defendant via phone. The plaintiff holds Healthcare Revenue Recovery Group LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to provide him with information regarding the amount of the supposed debt or the name of the creditor.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, statutory damages of $1,000, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Nicholas Michael Murado of Murado Law PA in Miramar.
