Lee County worker alleges employer failed to pay overtime

FORT MYERS — A Lee County man is suing a Cape Coral business, alleging unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

Raul Palles filed a lawsuit Dec. 8 in U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida Fort Myers Division against Slider Man, LLC, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act in failing to pay fair wages to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, Palles worked as a repairman for Slider Man between 2008 and Nov. 7, 2016, for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation as required by FLSA. 

Palles seeks trial by jury, unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and interest, plus all relief the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys Jason L. Gunter and Conor P. Foley of Jason L. Gunter PA in Fort Myers.
