Law money 07

FORT LAUDERDALE — A Broward County man is suing a consumer reporting agency and a Florida resort, alleging breach of contract.

Rene Ruiz filed a lawsuit Dec. 8, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Fort Lauderdale Division against Experian Information Solutions, Inc. of Costa Mesa, California, Hunter Warfield, Inc. of Tampa, and Executive Affiliates, Inc. and Sutton Place at Turtle Run, Ltd., doing business as Grove at Turtle Run of Coral Springs, Florida, alleging they provided inaccurate information regarding the plaintiff's credit history.

According to the complaint, Ruiz lost the opportunity to lease an apartment at Grove at Turtle Run because the defendants failed to delete inaccurate information regarding the plaintiff's credit file.

Ruiz seeks trial by jury, actual damages, statutory damages of $1,000, all legal fees and all other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by attorneys J. Dennis Card Jr. and Darren R. Newhart of Consumer Law Organization PA in North Palm Beach and byt Court E. Keeley and Clyde S. Dunton-Gallagher of Jacobs Keeley PLLC in Miami.
