Former Shoreline Apartments worker says he's owed overtime pay

JACKSONVILLE — A former maintenance employee is suing Viva Association LLC, d/b/a Shoreline Apartments, and owner Robert Jarvis, alleging violation of wage law.

Nashon Joseph filed a complaint on Dec. 5 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they failed to pay him fair wages.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid a proper overtime premium. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible for the alleged violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Angeli Murthy of Morgan & Morgan, P.A. in Plantation.
