FLORIDA — A passenger is suing Carnival Corp., a cruise ship company, citing alleged insufficient measures were taken to prevent injuries and negligence.
Maeve Pauline Perkins filed a complaint on Dec. 2, in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Carnival Corp. alleging that the cruise ship company failed to keep tiled floor aboard their vessel dry.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in January of this year, she suffered physical injuries including a fractured right patella, or knee, from slipping and falling on the floor. The plaintiff holds Carnival Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to properly warn the plaintiff regarding the hazardous condition of the floor.
The plaintiff seeks all damages against the defendant. She is represented by Ricardo V. Alsina of Lipcon, Margulies, Alsina & Winkleman, P.A. in Miami.
