MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County woman claims a Miami restaurant owes her unpaid wages.
Claudia Mariana Rubio Castillo filed a complaint on Dec. 2 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Pietro's Ceviche Bar & Grill Inc. and Pedro A. Fernandez Prada citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Pietro's Ceviche Bar & Grill Inc. and Fernandez Prada responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff overtime premium for working more than 40 hours per week or the applicable minimum wage.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks double damages, all legal fees, minimum wages still owing, interest, and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Allyson Morgado of Corona Law Firm PA in Miami.
