Orchidman Landscape Artisans accused of violating wage law

MIAMI — An employee is suing Orchidman Landscape Artisans Corp., alleging violation of wage laws.

Helmuth Velasquez filed a complaint on Nov. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Orchidman Landscape Artisans Corp., alleging that the employer failed to pay him fair wages.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he works for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Orchidman Landscape Artisans Corp. responsible because the defendant allegedly fails to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for working more than 40 hours per week, in violation of wage law.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks payment of all compensation, all overtime hours, liquidated damages, all legal fees and interest plus any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Jonathan S. Minick of Jonathan S. Minick, P.A. in Miami.
