The Prudential Insurance Company of America accused of improperly denying benefits

Insurance 11

MIAMI — A woman is suing The Prudential Insurance Company of America, citing alleged breach of contract.

Eva M. Tedesco filed a complaint on Nov. 28 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida Miami Division against The Prudential Insurance Company of America, alleging that the insurance firm wrongly denied her claim for disability benefits.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in 2015, she became disabled and applied for disability benefits but was denied. The plaintiff holds The Prudential Insurance Company of America responsible because the defendant allegedly upheld its decision to deny her disability benefits despite her being disabled according to the terms of the plan.

The plaintiff seeks unpaid disability benefits plus interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Edward Philip Dabdoub and Geannina A. Burgos of Wagar Dabdoub, P.A. in Coral Gables.
