ORLANDO – A guest at an Orange County hotel claims his hand was injured on a waterslide.

Eugene Armstrong filed a complaint on Nov. 21 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court for Orange County against Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Nov. 24, 2014, he was using the pool as an invitee and guest of the defendant's hotel when his pinky finger caught a jagged edge of a metal bar near the waterslide, which caused serious laceration and injury.

The plaintiff holds Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to adequately inspect, maintain and correct the condition of the pool and surrounding areas and failed to warn plaintiff of the dangerous condition of the waterslide and its fixtures.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks judgement for damages against defendant, and other relief deemed proper. He is represented by Gregory S. Stark of Todd K. Miner PA in Orlando.
