TAMPA — A former employee is suing Impro Synergies LLC, alleging violation of wage laws.
Carmen Carballo filed a complaint on Nov. 22 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against Impro Synergies LLC, alleging that the employer failed to properly compensate her.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Impro Synergies LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the lawful overtime premium for hours worked in excess of 40 per week.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid back wages, overtime wages, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Luis A. Cabassa of Wenzel Fenton Cabassa, P.A. in Tampa.
