OCALA — Two former employees are suing JT Ruby Contracting Inc. and Joseph Ruby, alleging that the employers violated wage laws.

Kendrick Johnson and Corey Ivey filed a complaint on Nov. 22, in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they failed to lawfully pay all wages due.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that they worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiffs hold the defendants responsible because they allegedly failed to pay overtime for hours worked in excess of 40 per week.

The plaintiffs request a trial by jury and seek unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by Matthew R. Gunter of Morgan & Morgan, P.A. in Orlando.
