Jenny's Fashion and Bridal accused of failing to pay overtime

Law money 09

MIAMI — A former employee is suing Jenny's Fashion and Bridal Inc., Sung W. Lee and Hyon Sook Lee, alleging that the employers violated wage laws.

Idalia Telus filed a complaint on Nov. 23 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against the defendants, alleging that they failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that after being hired to work 40-hour weeks, she was required to work 49- to 70-hour weeks but received no overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds the defendants responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for hours worked that exceeded 40 per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Russell Moriarty of Levine & Blit, P.L.L.C. in Miami.
