TAMPA – A woman alleges she is owed wages for overtime work she performed for her former employer.

Valerie Carrol filed a complaint on Nov. 21 in the Tampa Division for the Middle District of Florida against Brandywyne Convalescent Center Inc. alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation from 2013 to 2016. The plaintiff holds Brandywyne Convalescent Center Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for working more than 40 hours per week.

The plaintiff seeks payment of all wages owed, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Kyle Lee of Lee Law PLLC in Brandon.
