MIAMI – A Palm Beach County consumer claims a debt collector mailed her a letter that violates debt collection laws.

Ashley M. Carpenter filed a complaint on Nov. 20 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Syndicated Office Systems LLC, doing business as Central Financial Control, alleging violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that in February, she received a collection letter from the defendant regarding an alleged debt. The plaintiff holds Syndicated Office Systems LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to include the name of the alleged creditor or the amount of the claimed debt in the letter it sent to the plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. She is represented by Donald A. Yarbrough of Donald A. Yarbrough, ESQ in Fort Lauderdale.
