Law money 06

MIAMI – A woman alleges she was not adequately compensated by her former employer.

Lillian V. Vazquez filed a complaint on Nov. 18 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Sherman Development Co. LLC, Jacki Elani and David Haim citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that she worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime compensation. The plaintiff holds Sherman Development Co. LLC, Elani and Haim responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for the hours she worked that exceeds 40 per week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all unpaid wages, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. She is represented by Todd W. Shulby of Todd W. Shulby PA in Weston and William Brady of William Brady PA in Coral Gables.
