Former Southwest Plumbing Services employee alleges he is owed overtime wages

Law money 09

MIAMI – A Miami-Dade County man alleges he was not properly paid for all hours worked by his former employer.

Donald E. Moyer filed a complaint on Nov. 17 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Southwest Plumbing Services Inc., Thomas Watson and Paul Roache citing the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours per week without being paid any overtime wages from February 2013 to October 2016. The plaintiff holds Southwest Plumbing Services Inc., Watson and Roache responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premiums at a rate of time-and-one-half for hours worked that exceeded 40 in a week.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks compensatory overtime wages, liquidated damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Brian H. Pollock of Fairlaw Firm in Miami.
