FLORIDA — A Miami-Dade County man has filed a class-action lawsuit against Service 1st Mortgage, Inc., an employer, citing alleged unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.
Scott Mesh filed a complaint on behalf of others similarly situated in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida against Service 1st Mortgage, Inc. alleging that the employer failed to pay fair wages to the plaintiff.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he worked for more than 40 hours without being paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff holds Service 1st Mortgage, Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay the plaintiff any overtime premium for hours worked that exceeded 40 hours.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all unpaid overtime compensation, liquidated damages, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. He is represented by Keith M. Stern and Hazel Solis Rojas of Law Offices of Keith M. Stern, P.A. in Miami.
